The Challenge
For more than 60 years, the family behind Belgrade Liquor has been pioneering quality in Montana's beverage landscape—single-barrel hand selections, rare whiskeys, and a reputation for excellence.
But behind the scenes, managing an extensive inventory of spirits, wines, craft beers, and premium cigars had become a daily battle. Specialty selections required careful tracking. Seasonal demand created unpredictable surges. And the manual systems that worked for smaller operations couldn't keep pace with growth.
When we picked orders off the printout, the items were in no order that matched the building. You would pick a location, walk somewhere else, then walk right back to that same location later in the order. With Rocket, the pick path is organized by location, so we move through the warehouse in the right sequence. We've eliminated a lot of unnecessary walking and made picking much faster and more efficient.
The Transformation
They didn't need a complicated enterprise system. They needed inventory management that worked quietly in the background—reliable, accurate, and simple enough for their small team to adopt without disruption.
- Manual tracking across hundreds of specialty SKUs
- Constant uncertainty about premium product locations
- Reactive ordering leading to stockouts and overstock
- Seasonal surges overwhelming existing processes
- Time spent on inventory instead of customer relationships
- Every bottle tracked with lot numbers and locations
- Instant lookup for any product in seconds
- Proactive reorder alerts before running low
- Seasonal patterns handled with confidence
- More time for customers, less time in the warehouse
The Result
Today, their operation runs with the quiet confidence that comes from knowing exactly where every product is, what needs attention, and when to reorder. The legacy their family built is now supported by systems that let them focus on what they do best: curating exceptional products and serving their community.
I want my people on the floor talking to customers, not hauling product out of the back to keep shelves full. Rocket is what lets me put labor where I wanted it all along.
